Arizona FCA
The school year is back in full swing, and FCA is active on 85 campuses in the state of Arizona! As summer comes to an end, we can look back and thank God for His continued faithfulness to our Campus Ministry.
After sending nearly 400 student-athletes to FCA Camps this past summer, our campus staff has been following up with athletes and coaches at various schools. We recently hosted a valley-wide leadership training where junior high and high school FCA leaders came together to learn more about how to effectively reach their campus, coaches and teammates for Christ. Our campus staff is focused on a philosophy that we call the “5 Es” (Engage, Encourage, Equip, Empower and Evangelize). We believe that by living out this philosophy and communicating it to our schools, we will be better prepared to accomplish what the Lord has called us to do. We will spend most of our time in Huddle meetings, leadership meetings, chapels, coaches Bible studies, character coaching, mentoring and prayer. We are also prayerfully moving forward to hire a Campus Ministry representative in the north valley in the coming months.
Through our Coaches Ministry efforts, we also reach 95 coaches in high schools and universities through Bible studies and another 255 through outreach events, coaches conferences and camps. That is 350 coaches, and we pray that number just keeps growing.
That is where you come in. We need your prayer as we strive to serve the schools and communities in the state of Arizona. We also hope you will consider donating to Arizona FCA as well. You will be helping our dedicated staff and volunteers reach more local youth who are longing to be bolstered in faith. Since Gary’s purpose is to help young people on their faith journey by raising funds for FCA Camps, we invite you to make your appreciated donation to our local Camp Scholarship Fund or to our Area of Greatest Need. (And please include your email address so we can keep you posted on how Gary’s training is going.)
